This morning I received several emails from Netflix and other vendors reporting that my payment information needs to be updated. They were all scams – none were actually from who they said they were from.

Please EXPECT scams to be more prevalent as we get into the holiday shopping and then holiday season. Favorites to spoof are: FedEx and UPS, Amazon, Wal-Mart, and banks.

If you do get an email you THINK is legit, do NOT click any links in the email. Go directly to their website in your browser – login as you always do – and see if there are any messages for you. Better yet, contact customer service and let them know someone is trying to steal your account information.
