What is a “Zero Day Exploit”? Zero Day is the term used for exploits that use a previously unknown vulnerability to infect computers – bugs that nobody knew about until now. Once they are discovered, programmers scramble to fix the vulnerability and anti-malware developers update their software to detect them.

It is VERY important that you not rely on your device or anti-x software to keep you safe. The bad guys are usually one step ahead of the anti-x companies, and the biggest threats are the Zero Day, or unknown exploits. To paraphrase Rummy, it’s the unknown unknowns that will get you!
